The rules and regulations for payroll place great demands on small and medium businesses. Mistakes can be embarrassing if they lead to incorrect payments to your staff and costly if they result in errors in payments to HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC). HMRC also expects employers to deal with Statutory Sick Pay, Statutory Maternity, Paternity and Adoption Pay and ensure payroll records demonstrate that either the National Minimum Wage or National Living Wage has been paid to all employees. Finally, employers are required to set up and run through the payroll, auto-enrolment pension schemes for their staff.
We engage experienced payroll professionals to deal with all your payroll issues. Any non-routine matters, such as redundancies, would be dealt with in conjunction with the partner who deals with your case. We would provide you with payslips and advise you on the payment due to HMRC. We would deal with the year-end procedures after every 5th April and provide you with P60s for your employees. We would assist you in the preparation of Forms P11D and P11D(b), which cover benefits-in-kind such as company cars provided to Directors and employees, and we would ensure that these forms are filed with HMRC on time. The auto-enrolment pension scheme deductions and administration would also be dealt with as part of our payroll service.
